This morning Disney Parks Blog announced a new area coming to DHS this fall. The area is said to be where the current Streets of America sits today. The new area is intended to reflect the aesthetic of current-day Downtown Los Angeles. Imagineers will be putting in “vintage office buildings and warehouses representing the different vibrant districts and cultures of the city” according to Joan Peabody of Disney Parks Blog. No concept art for Grand Avenue has been released yet.
Within one of the buildings Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be debuting a new watering hole called Baseline Tap House that will feature California craft ales, lagers, cider, win, and small appetizers. Like most Disney restaurants, Baseline will keep true to its Downtown L.A. theming through its architecture and atmosphere. Because it will be set in an old mom-and-pop printing company, you’ll also be able to find printing equipment and materials scattered throughout.
I’ll keep you posted with more news from Grand Avenue and an actual opening date once it is announced!
